Pilgrim United Church of Christ was established on February 14, 1834 by Frederick Upson, Elisha N. Sill, Henry Newberry, Ogden Wetmore, Birdsey Booth.
Located at the corner of Broad Boulevard and Second Street, we are the oldest church building, still in continuous use, in Summit County.
Our history includes being a stop on the Underground Railroad, as runaway slaves were lowered through the removable floor of a closet into the church's basement where a tunnel had been dug into the dirt wall.
